01The platform tax

What every application costs before its first feature ships.

Built by hand

320–680 hrs

of platform work per application

On Groundfloor

<40 hrs

of configuration per application

Per application

$27k–$58k

moved from plumbing to product

Three common routes to production. Each one pays the tax differently.

Build on the cloud directly

Months per application.

Every application rebuilds the pipeline, sign-in, database operations and audit, and needs people to keep them running.

Your cloud provider’s own services

Faster, until you need to move.

The application is built around one provider’s services, so moving it later means rebuilding it.

Separate hosted services

Quick to a demo. Slow to enterprise-ready.

Enterprise sign-in, permissions and audit are still yours to build or buy, and your data is spread across several vendors.

Across ten applications

$270k–$580k

That is the gap, in dollars.

Under 40 hours of configuration per application, on a private cloud, a hyperscaler or a regional provider. One platform, not several services to connect and govern.

An illustrative model with conservative assumptions: a blended engineering cost of $85 per hour and typical mid-size enterprise scope. When you talk to our team, we replace these with your own portfolio. See where the hours go ↗

03Less setup for every application

Build the application.
We manage the services.

Your team should be building the workflow, not reconnecting sign-in, databases and secrets every time. Groundfloor brings these services together so each application and agent can use what it needs.

Shared identity · Managed data · Platform services

One sign-in. One interface. One security posture.

Every application added uses the same sign-in and the same permissions. Nothing to rebuild.

Independent architecture · Selected platform services

Your design, your logic, your roadmap. Separate from the shell.

Three different products. One platform underneath, and each runs where its customer requires.

04Build with agents

Your coding agent builds it. Groundfloor keeps it in bounds.

Connect Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or any coding agent that supports MCP. It reads your workspace and our documentation, then works through the Groundfloor CLI, signed in as you and limited to the permissions you hold.

Vibe coding is fine for a prototype. Production needs guardrails.

  1. Connect

One setup file. Your coding agent sees your workspace, applications, deployments and our docs.

  2. Act

Deploys, secrets, domains and feature flags through one CLI.

  3. Guardrails

Agents act as the person who connected them. Risky changes ask first. Credentials are kept out of deploys.

  4. Accountable

    Platform actions are logged.

Questions buyers ask us

Why would we choose Groundfloor?

Get from working code to a production application, without tying its future to one cloud. Groundfloor brings compute, databases, identity, secrets and AI services together. You choose where they run.

Close the production gap
Use connected, managed services instead of assembling the same infrastructure for every application.
Keep your way of working
Groundfloor provides the same platform and deployment workflow across your choice of infrastructure.
Keep your freedom
Change clouds with Groundfloor, or take your application to infrastructure you manage.
Can we move our application to another cloud?

Yes. Your application code, databases and data are yours. Move Groundfloor to a private cloud, a hyperscaler or a regional provider and keep the same way of deploying. Or run the application without Groundfloor on infrastructure you manage.

Move with Groundfloor
Use the same CLI, platform services and deployment workflow in the new environment.
Run without Groundfloor
Set up the runtime and services your application uses, deploy the code and move the database and data. Your team manages deployment and operations there.
We already use Azure. Do we have to move?

No. Groundfloor can run on a hyperscaler, a private cloud or a regional provider. Use it in the environment that fits your application, with the same platform services and deployment workflow.

Use the cloud that fits
Start with your existing infrastructure, data location and identity requirements.
Keep a consistent workflow
Groundfloor’s CLI and platform services provide the same way to deploy across these environments.
Change your choice
Your code, databases and data stay yours when infrastructure needs change.
Can we control which AI providers see our data?

Yes. Route sensitive work to private or in-country models. Allow external model APIs only when your policy permits them. You choose which models can receive requests, who can use them and how much they can spend.

Keep data in your environment
Use private models for work that must stay inside your environment.
Choose what goes outside
If you allow an external model, the request goes to that provider. Review the data sent and that provider’s terms.
Available today
LLM routing is available through CLI/API. Console access is coming soon.
What happens after our AI tool writes the code?

Use Groundfloor’s CLI to deploy the application, then manage it through the CLI or console. Compute, databases, identity, secrets and AI services are available together so you can focus on how the application works.

Development tools
Groundfloor MCP gives a coding assistant documentation and workspace context. Changes happen through the CLI.
Managed services
Use compute, databases, identity, secrets, permissions and deployment tools together.
AI access
Use LLM routing, a managed agent runtime and long-term memory. LLM routing is available through CLI/API; console access is coming soon.
What work does Groundfloor take off our team?

Groundfloor manages the agreed platform services, including infrastructure, access, backups and monitoring. Your team keeps its attention on the application, its users and the business rules.

Less repeated setup
Reuse the way services connect, deploy and manage access across applications.
Clear ownership
Your team still owns application security, release decisions and application-level compliance.
Before production
Agree which services are managed, how incidents are handled and what support your team needs.
What should we compare before choosing a platform?

Ask two questions: how quickly can we get into production, and what will we still control once we are there? Groundfloor combines managed application services with choice over infrastructure, data and AI.

Delivery
Look at the work left between working code and a production application, including databases, identity, secrets and deployment.
Choice
Check that your way of deploying can stay consistent across private, hyperscaler and regional clouds.
Ownership
Check that you can deploy your application and move its databases and data outside the platform.
Do all our applications have to share the same architecture?

Federated applications can share identity, permissions and platform services. Standalone applications can keep their own architecture and use selected Groundfloor services.

Share what helps
Use common services when they reduce repeated work across your applications.
Keep independence where needed
Retain an application’s architecture and select managed services that fit.
Plan the integration
Check the application’s dependencies and access requirements before deployment.
How do we know what is secure and who is responsible?

Review the platform’s SOC 2 Type 2 report and agree the responsibilities for your deployment. Groundfloor handles platform controls; your team remains responsible for the application’s security and business rules.

Platform controls
Review infrastructure, access, change management, backups and monitoring against the report’s scope.
Application controls
Your team sets business permissions, secures the application and owns application-level compliance.
Operating together
Agree incident response, recovery, log retention and export requirements. Platform actions are logged.
What have customers built with Groundfloor?

Enterprise applications in commercial real estate are already built on Groundfloor. Reported results include 2.9× ROI and 7× compliance capacity for one customer application, and 99%+ processing accuracy for another.

What these figures describe
These are Groundfloor-reported results from specific customer applications.
What to ask us
Ask for the customer case, measurement method and application workflow.
Your application
Define the outcome you need and test it with your own users. These examples are not a guarantee of the same result.
How do we get started with Groundfloor?

Talk to our team about your application, infrastructure and support needs. We will work through the deployment and prepare a proposal. To try the platform, join the waiting list.

Bring your application
A workflow description or existing code is enough to start the conversation.
Bring your requirements
Tell us where it needs to run, which systems it must connect to and what you need to control.
Commercial questions
We prepare a quote for your requirements as part of the discussion.
Can you help us build an approvals app with our existing SSO?

Yes. Bring the workflow and your sign-in requirements. We can check the services and integrations, choose where it should run and agree a useful first version.

Start with the outcome
Explain who will use the application and what they should be able to do.
Use what is there
Bring existing code, identity and integration requirements.
Agree the first version
Choose a small, useful workflow and define how you will test it.

09Start with your next application

What would you build if the infrastructure was handled?

Bring us the application or agent you want to build or move. We will work through where it should run, the services it needs and how your team will stay in control.
