Build
Put your team on the application
Use managed compute, databases, identity, secrets and AI services together. Spend less effort connecting and maintaining the services every app and agent needs.
Why Groundfloor
The cloud should take work off your team, without taking choices away. Groundfloor brings the services your applications and agents need into one managed platform, on infrastructure you choose.
The reason to choose Groundfloor
Build
Use managed compute, databases, identity, secrets and AI services together. Spend less effort connecting and maintaining the services every app and agent needs.
Run
Deploy on a private cloud, a hyperscaler or a regional provider. Start with your security, data and infrastructure requirements.
Move
Your application code, databases and data are yours. Change clouds with Groundfloor, or run your application on infrastructure you manage.
Your team’s time
Every application and agent needs a place to run, a database, sign-in, credentials and a release process. Connecting these separately uses time your team could spend on the application. Groundfloor manages the common services and gives teams a consistent way to use them.
Your first application
Use a common CLI and console to work with compute, data, access and deployments.
Your next application
Share identity, permissions and other platform services where it makes sense. Keep applications independent where they need to be.
The cost model
| Platform work | Built by hand, per application | On Groundfloor |
|---|---|---|
| Environments and deployment pipeline | 80–120 hrs | Managed |
| Identity and SSO | 60–120 hrs | Configuration |
| Managed databases, backup and lifecycle | 40–80 hrs | Managed |
| Access control and security review | 80–240 hrs | Platform controls already reviewed. You set the business rules. |
| Audit logging | 40–80 hrs | Built in |
| Secrets and configuration | 20–40 hrs | Built in |
| Total per application | 320–680 hrs | Under 40 hrs of configuration |
An illustrative model with conservative assumptions: a blended engineering cost of $85 per hour and typical mid-size enterprise scope. When you talk to our team, we replace these with your own portfolio.
Security review stops starting from zero. Each new application or agent runs on the same platform controls, reviewed once.
Changing AI models stops being a project. With the LLM router it is a configuration change per workload.
They could. The table above is what it costs to build it once, and again for the next application, and again after every security review. Groundfloor is that path already built and already governed. Your platform team moves from maintaining plumbing to setting policy.
Freedom you can use
The cloud began as a simple promise: no hardware to buy or run. Since then, the useful parts have moved into each provider’s own databases, deployment tools and AI services, which only work on that provider’s cloud. The more of them you use, the harder it is to leave.
Groundfloor gives you those services on the cloud you choose. Run it on a private cloud, a hyperscaler or a regional provider, and keep the same platform, deployment workflow and application code when you change where it runs. Prefer to run without Groundfloor? Your application code, databases and data go with you. Either way, moving is a migration you plan, not a rebuild you fund.
One question is worth putting to every provider, including us. Your contract says the data is yours. What in the architecture says so? Where does it sit, whose systems process it, which models can see it, and what would it take to move it somewhere else? With AI in the path, more of your data crosses someone else’s service than most data policies were written for. We would rather you could answer that structurally than contractually.
Your code. Your databases. Your data.
What you build belongs to you. Choose where to run it today, and change that choice when your needs change.
Move with Groundfloor
Run Groundfloor on a private cloud, a hyperscaler or a regional provider. Keep the same platform services, CLI and deployment workflow across those environments. Plan the data transfer, network connections and testing before you move.
Run without Groundfloor
Deploy your application code and move your databases and data to another cloud. Set up the runtime and services your application uses. Your team takes over deployment and operations.
Your team can see what the application depends on and provide those services in its new environment.
Your data and AI
Keep sensitive work on private or in-country models. Allow external AI services only where your policy permits, and set who can use them and how much they can spend. Your choices about data and AI should be controls your team can use.
LLM routing is available through the CLI/API. Console access is coming soon.
Explore data and model control ↗Before you choose
Getting the first application live matters. So does what happens when you need a different cloud, a private AI model or a new operating team.
Your infrastructure
Look for the same application platform across private clouds, hyperscalers and regional providers.
Your AI
Look for controls over which models receive requests, who can use them and what must stay private.
Your application
Look for ownership of your code, databases and data, with a clear way to deploy them elsewhere.
A clear division of work
Groundfloor
We manage the agreed platform services, including infrastructure, access, backups and monitoring.
Your team
Your team owns business logic, application security, release decisions and application-level compliance. Agree incident responsibilities as part of the deployment.
